Outlook
Express Instructions....for Outlook 2002 
Setting up Microsoft Outlook Express to
check your email. Click on the icon for Outlook
Express usually located on your desktop. The main screen will appear.
Click
on' tools' then 'accounts'. After the accounts
window comes up select the mail tab, then click the add button and select mail.
You are going to add a new mail account to Outlook. At
the first screen of the connection wizard you are prompted for the name you wish
to be sent with your email, as in "Kane Gledhill" <kane@webfarm.co.nz>,
notice this isn't your email address, just the name. Click next after you have
entered the information..
This screen
on the connection wizard is where you enter your e-mail address. You have to choose
an address that you want to use, eg info, or your name @yourname.co.nz, this is
usually the address you will print on your business cards, this is the address
you will send your mail from. After you have done so click next to continue.
At
this screen you are prompted to enter the POP3 and SMTP servers, this is where
you will check your mail from, it is also where your email gets sent from.
Enter "mail.yourdomain.com" in the incoming mail server box and in the
outgoing mail server box use the same info. as you used in your regular ISP email
outgoing mail server - then click next to continue.
On this screen you
need to enter your username and password, these were sent to you when you ordered
your account. Enter both the username and password for your account. Note you
might want to tick the "Save Password" box, this saves you from having to enter
your password each time you check your mail.
Do not check SPA box below. OK,
you are almost done, click finish .You
will be prompted by the screen below, where, as you can see the account that you
just added is displayed.
Select the account you just created (highlight it) and click "Properties"
 Select
the servers tab at the top to display the window above, you need to check
"My server requires Authentication", click apply and then OK. OK,
it's time to test your email, create a new message and send it to yourself, then
locate the "Send and Receive" button and click
it, your message will be sent, at the same time it should download any other new
messages waiting on the server, these will be downloaded into your inbox.
